| USAAF - Attachables Chest-Type Parachutes | ||||
| Caution
Chest type parachutes are designated as Group 1 "Red" and Group 2 "Yellow". they are not interchangeable. The "Red" type has the hooks on the pack and the D rings on the harness. the "Yellow" type has the D rings on the pack and hooks on the harness. Chest type parachute is called QAC (Quick attachable Chest) due to its characteristics of having a pack separate from the harness which can be quickly attached in case of emergency. Attention
